How to wire a 1960s to 1970s dial phone

The dial phones from the 1940s to the 1970s use a rotary dial, these phones dial in pulse and the dial function may or may not work, this is dictated by the exchange you are connected to and whether or not your exchange supports pulse dialling

First remove cover carefully screws underneath the handset or on rear

Line-in is T9 and T19 normally a red wire and a white wire, your ringer is T4.

1# first get dial tone

2# make sure you can dial

3# get the ringer to work.

To get the ring to work you will need to connect a wire from T9 running back to T4 or T5
